How To Fix Streamci.dll Errors

What Causes streamci.dll Errors?

How To Fix The Streamci.dll Error

Step 1 – Update / Repair / Reinstall any Audio Drivers

Since this file is used by Windows to control the use and installation of audio drivers, it would be logical to attempt to repair of any these files first. You can do this by following these steps:

For Windows 7

1. Click “Start” > Control Panel > Hardware and Sound
2. Under “Deivces and Printers” heading, click Device Manager
3. In the Window that opens, look for the speaker icon next to “Sound, video and game controllers”
4. Expand this option then right click on the erroneous hardware (should have a yellow exclaimation mark next to it)
5. Click properties and go to “Driver“. Now click “Update Driver” and follow the on screen wizard

For Windows Vista and earlier

1. Click on Start and then Control Panel.
2. Click on the Performance and Maintenance link.Note: If you’re viewing the Classic View of Control Panel, you won’t see this link. Simple double-click on the System icon and proceed to Step 4.
3. In the Performance and Maintenance window, click on the System icon near the bottom of the window.
4. In the System Properties window, click on the Hardware tab.
5. With the Hardware tab selected, click on the Device Manager button.
6. Look for the speaker icon next to “Sound, video and game controllers“. Expand this option and Right Click > Properties on the faulty hardware (it will have a yellow exclamation mark next to it)
7. Go to the “Driver” option and click “Update Driver” and follow the onscreen instructions.

If this does not fix the issue, proceed to Step 2:

Step 2 – Manually Replace streamci.dll On Your System

Replacing the streamci.dll file is probably the surest way to get your system running as smoothly as possible again. You can do this very easily by following the guide below:

1) Download streamci.zip from our server

2) Unzip the streamci.dll file onto your computer’s hard drive

3) Browse to c:\Windows\System32

4) Locate the current streamci.dll on your system

5) Rename the current streamci.dll to streamciBACKUP.dll

6) Copy & paste the new streamci.dll into C:\Windows\System32

7) Click Start > Run (Or search”run” on Vista & Win7)

8 ) Type “cmd” in the box that appears

9) Type “regsvr32 streamci.dll” on the black screen

10) Press enter
