What Causes The 3ivx.dll Error?

3ivx.dll is a file used extensively by the 3ivx video codec to help your computer play various fiels and videos on your PC. Step 1 – Reinstall The Program Causing The Error

• Click Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs

• Click the “remove” button next to this program

• Restart your PC
• Reinstall the application either from the Internet or an installation CD

Step 2 – Manually Replace 3ivx.dll On Your System

Replacing the 3ivx.dll file is probably the surest way to get your system running as smoothly as possible again. You can do this very easily by following the guide below:

1) Download 3ivx.zip from our server

2) Unzip the 3ivx.dll file onto your computer’s hard drive

3) Browse to c:\Windows\System32

4) Locate the current 3ivx.dll on your system

5) Rename the current 3ivx.dll to 3ivxBACKUP.dll

6) Copy & paste the new 3ivx.dll into C:\Windows\System32

7) Click Start > Run (Or search”run” on Vista & Win7)

8 ) Type “cmd” in the box that appears

9) Type “regsvr32 3ivx.dll” on the black screen

10) Press enter
