2) Click on properties and then on “Device Manager”

4) In there, click on the audio component and, right click and select “Uninstall”
This will uninstall the driver from your system and will also make Windows think you do not have a sound device. This will soon be rectified when your computer recognizes the sound card and installs its own driver. This will give you sound, but if you utilize 5.1 surround sound, then you may wish to reinstall the Sigmatel driver.
