1616 Error Fix Tutorial

The 1616 error is a problem with Windows Installer – and is an issue that will prevent your PC from being able to install a piece of software onto your system. How To Fix 1616 Errors

Step 1 – Use The Windows Installer Cleanup Utility

This tool has been designed to fix any of the problems that Windows Installer may have, and is used to make sure that your computer is able to repair the various problems that you may have on your PC, preventing the installation from commencing. Although this program has been discontinued by Microsoft, it’s regarded as one of the best ways to fix the error:

• Download Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
• Let it run on your PC
• Clean out any of the problems that your system may have with the program
• Restart your system

Step 2 – Restart Into Safe Mode

The error you may have will likely be caused by conflicts inside your system. This can be resolved by restarting your computer into “Safe Mode”, which will disable any of the software which could be causing errors. You can do this by following these steps to achieve this:

Restart your PC

Press F8 continually before Windows loads

Select “Safe Mode With Networking” from the launch menu

Try and install the software again
