Step 2 – Use The Windows Installer Cleanup Utility
The Windows Installer Cleanup Utility is a discontinued Microsoft tool which basically fixes any of the problems that Windows may have. The reason it’s been discontinued is because Microsoft developed it to a point where it works EXTREMELY WELL, and can be employed to fix a large number of installer errors. It’s a perfect remedy for the 1301 error, and can be used by using these steps:

Step 4 – Clean Out The Windows Registry
The “registry” is the main cause of the 1301 errors because of the way this database stores all the files, settings and options for your PC. It’s basically a central directory of settings that Windows can open whenever it needs, and is where everything from your desktop wallpaper, most recent emails and even your passwords are stored. Although the registry is continually being used to help make sure that your computer is able to run smoothly, it’s continually being damaged & corrupted – leading to a lot of different errors to appear. If you’re experiencing the 1301 error, it suggests that you have some registry errors that will be preventing the installation process from continuing.
We recommend using a program called “RegAce System Suite 2.0” to fix the various problems that you’ll have on your PC. This tool can be downloaded here and can be used by letting it install & remove the errors that Windows will have.
